We believe that what you value defines you.

Our core values represent the bedrock of our culture; that is, who we are as we strive to fulfill our mission.  Even more important in a school environment is the realization that values are infectious!  Perry Hall Christian School desires to produce graduates who seek to emulate these values as the foundation for their lives.

We hold ourselves accountable to the following core values:

Goal:

  • Encourage students to commit their lives to Christ.

Rationale:

Believing that wholeness in life comes only through a relationship with Jesus Christ,

PHCS emphasizes the priority of believing, receiving, modeling and obeying him as Lord and Savior. We trust that the abundant life that Jesus promised is best realized when we bow our hearts before him and seek to become his disciples in all aspects of life.  We strive, not merely to listen to the Word, but to actually do what it says (James 1:21-25).

Goal:

  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of a caring, godly community where individuals are refined through their relationship with Jesus Christ to become more like him.

Rationale:

This core value emerges from the word “become” in our mission statement.  The process of being conformed to the image of Christ and becoming more like him is nurtured in a culture that allows students to learn from their mistakes and to grow in grace (Phil 3:12-14; Zech. 13:9).

 Goals:

  • Introduce the truths of the Bible to the hearts and minds of students.
  • Provide an environment where students and parents can examine the truth about Jesus Christ and grow to know, love and serve Him.
  • Challenge Christian students to integrate Biblical truth into their daily lives.

Rationale:

We seek to develop and nurture minds that view the world through the perspective of a biblical lens, tearing down strongholds and every pretense that sets itself up against the knowledge of God (2 Cor. 10:4). The School stands without reservation on the belief that the Bible is the inerrant, authoritative Word of God.

Goals:

  • Provide each student with the opportunity to receive an excellent academic and spiritual education.
  • Provide an environment and the resources needed to enable each child to reach his or her full potential.
  • Promote the essential relationship between intellectual knowledge and godly wisdom by applying Scripture to every subject area.

Rationale:

We are sons and daughters of the King and will seek to honor him by striving to achieve excellence in all we do (Col. 3:23-24).

 Goal:

  • Partner with parents in the education and Christian discipleship of their children.

Rationale:

The family is the building block of the church, and we exist to support parents as they fulfill their God given responsibility to train up a child in the way he should go (Prov. 22:6).
